    Dr. Robert Steven Unger has been a registered psychologist since 1977 and was a supervising psychologist in the Ministry of Health.  He provides professional services to business and individuals like you.  Dr.  Unger has authored numerous newspaper and magazine articles, has appeared on TV Ontario, and lectured internationally to professional health care providers and other groups on various psychological topics.
 

     Dr. Unger believes that feeling content – feeling good about yourself – is the natural, preferable state for human beings.  By reading this article you’ve proven you are already aware of that – and also that you have the desire to change by investing in the quality of your life.
 

     Dr. Unger's treatment philosophy is similar to coaching a sports team. The objective is not necessarily to win every game, but to improve the team’s chances of enjoying a winning season by helping put the pieces together. 

 

Services
     Services provided by a psychologist for the assessment and/or treatment of depression, panic attacks, driving phobias, and/or the more generalized types of anxiety disorders as a consequence of a motor vehicle accident are covered by automobile insurance policies.

 

Fees

     Professional fees for the assessment and/or treatment of these types of problems as a consequence of a traumatic event in your workplace are covered by the Workers Insurance and Safety Board after WISB referral or approval. Fees may be paid by your employee assistance health care plan or employee assistance program, but are not currently covered by OHIP. Call for details.
